Local Support

Local Support is the development of our previous Local Networks, the ‘grass roots’ level of mwf, and aims to:

When you become an mwf supporter through the Friends & Associates or Partners schemes, you will receive our quarterly magazine BaseLine, which contains a Resource Sheet and new music to try out. You will also be given a password to access the Members Area of this web site. These are the primary two ways of communication for Local Supporters. As a local supporter you are encouraged to let us know what you think about mwf, how things are going in your music ministry, contribute articles or book reviews for publication in Baseline, chat to other supporters online, etc.

Local Support Groups

If you have made contact with some mwf supporters in your area and would like to meet together, we would suggest four specific things you could do:

  1. Form a choir or worship band to provide a resource in your locality;
  2. Organise an evening get-together of supporters to share resources and ideas;
  3. Organise a fellowship/prayer meeting for the church musicians in your area;
  4. Put on a concert, worship, musical or outreach event, perhaps raising money for mwf or another charity.
If you would like to form a Local Support Group you must designate a convener from amongst yourselves. Send an e-mail to request a Registration Form, which you must complete and return to us. We would like to know what is happening within mwf around the country as Local Supporters continue to make contacts with each other so we can offer support and receive feedback. Rachel Young is the Director of Local Support and will make contact with you when she has received a registration form. She is your direct line of contact with mwf and will offer support and advice whenever needed. She’d also love to hear about the success of your initiatives!
